This was a book that I had laying around for a long time without reading for no
Reading this book was a delight.
It has some fresh new ideas. Something I think is getting very rare in science fiction with most books rehashing the same basic premises over and over again.
It is also good read a book every now and again that is not taking place in the US, or by Americans. Science fiction (that I read) is dominated by American and some British writers.
I dont want to give away too much of the storyline because you should just read it yourself. This one is worth your time.
At its core this is a first contact book.
It is also an exploration of human nature and philosophy and about the environmental disasters that we are creating. It is also a study of an alien society so very different from our own.
None of that is a good summary of the book, but give it a read. It is that good.
